Vincentian’s COVID-19 Action Plan

Vincentian’s COVID-19 Action Plan

The novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) remains a topic of local, national and international news and is a serious public health situation. While we have no reason to believe that anyone at Vincentian is currently infected with COVID-19, Vincentian’s Clinical Excellence department is actively monitoring the situation and we are taking organization-wide steps to proactively address any possible COVID-19 coronavirus incident that could occur at one of our senior communities or childcare centers.

Vincentian is in direct contact with the Allegheny County Health Department and is receiving regular updates from that agency on any public health concerns related to COVID-19. We will also partner with the state Department of Health and federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention should the need arise. A comprehensive communications plan has been developed to share best practices with residents, families, employees and visitors of Vincentian to reduce the risk of spreading a virus or other illness. New information will be provided to you as this situation develops.

What you can to do keep yourself and those we serve safe

We ask anyone to refrain from visiting us if they are not feeling well or have traveled outside of the country in the last 14 days. We also ask everyone to help stop the spread of germs by following these simple steps:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
  • Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
